The Indian Geotechnical Society Hyderabad Chapter has been actively organizing and participating in several workshops and student events since 2007. The Chapter mentors 8 Student Chapters in the Hyderabad region. It is very active in organizing symposium and confernces since last decade, It provides a forum for practitioners, postgraduate students, and researchers working in the fields of geotechnical engineering and geoenvironmental engineering to highlight their research findings, exchange information, and disseminate knowledge with other geotechnical engineers. Since the past decade, it has been extremely active in organising journals and conferences. This facilitates the establishment of a more robust reciprocal association between academia and the professional sector.
